The approach we take to developing a website is outlined below. This list will give you a general idea of what is involved. All projects are different, because of this we have not listed every step required to complete a project. The process used for print projects is similar.
  1. Initial consultation — FREE
  2. Site analysis (if a Makeover)
  3. Define project, gather requirements
  4. Agreement of project scope and requirements
  5. Storyboard, understanding of site functionality
  6. Estimate, project cost and timeline
  7. 1/2 of payment due*
  8. Create site architecture
  9. Prototype of User Interface
  10. Database schematic and dataflow (if applicable)
  11. Functionality walk-thru
  12. Development of site; Graphics, HTML and Coding
  13. Developmental testing
  14. Client testing and proofreading
  15. Revisions, as needed
  16. Client acceptance
  17. Final payment and delivery of site
*Note: There is a large commitment of time and resources during the development of a web design project. For this reason, new clients are asked to make a financial commitment of 1/2 of the project cost prior to starting the development phase.
